Description

This striking evening dress by Hannalore of London combines fairy tale glamour with a late 1960s to early 1970s silhouette. Tailored from bubble-gum pink chiffon, it has a full, swirling skirt and theatrical angel-sleeves that create wonderful wing-like shapes around the body as the wearer walks. The bodice is adorned with a line of circular rhinestones and hundreds of iridescent beads, creating a cascading waterfall effect down the front of the dress which circles around the back. There is a coordinating pink chiffon belt to elevate the bust and draw in the waist at the mid back which allows the wearer to cinch in the free-flowing shape. The sleeves and décolletage are sheer and the dress is lined in coordinating bubble-gum satin from the bust down the length of the dress throughout the floor-sweeping skirt. The dress fastens at the back with a hidden tonal pink zip and has a keyhole cut-out at the top which closes with a hook-and-eye closure.

We love this glamorous old British designer label at Circa and over the years have sold many excellent dresses, all incredibly well made. In great vintage condition with no flaws of any note. The composition states that it is 100% Polyester with a lining of 100% Acetate. It is labelled a size UK 12 and the fabric has no stretch. We estimate a best fit in modern sizing for around a UK 10 or US 6. Our model is a UK 6-8, US 2-4 and 5ft 4in. (163 cm) and there was definitely room to spare.
