Description

This enchanting 1970s silk crepe couture dress in pale ivory is unlabelled. We believe it was designed by Yves Saint Laurent as part of his Les Espagnoles et les Romantiques collection in 1977. It is composed of fine silk crepe and has an elegant bohemian aesthetic with a gentle scoop neckline, peasant sleeves and a floor sweeping skirt. The cuffs, neckline and skirt seams are embellished with teardrop-shaped lace trim to accentuate the romantic, feminine feel of the piece. The fabric at the reverse of the dress secured at the neck with hook and eye fastenings then falls open to the waist. There is a concealed zip fastening from the centre waist to line of the thigh. The skirt is lined in an additional layer of silk crepe. This lovely dress would be an excellent choice for formal events and would make a beautiful alternative bridal gown.

It is in excellent condition with no flaws. It has no size or composition labels, but we believe it would best suit US size 2 - 4, UK size 6 - 8. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in. (163cm) and this dress was a good fit on her. The fabric has no stretch.
