Description

This documented vintage belt was designed by Yves Saint Laurent and walked the runway as part of the brand’s Spring 1982 collection. It is elasticated and woven from raffia in stripes of blue, black and pale mint green. The stitching coordinates with the colour of the raffia it is woven through. The buckle is decadent; formed from ten intricately carved, gold-toned metal circles and finished with four gold spheres along the centre. The belt attaches to the removable buckle with two gold-toned metal rings. The hook on the back of the buckle is debossed with “Yves Saint Laurent Germany”.

This unusual belt is in very good to excellent vintage condition with no notable flaws. It is perhaps not as robust as it once was, on account of the organic materials though still wearable with care and should be stored flat. Like many accessories, it has no composition or size label so please check our measurements closely below. Suitable for sizes extra small through to small.
