1990s Floral Beaded White Tulle Elbow Length Gloves

These elbow-length gloves are high-end bespoke made and tailored from white stretch tulle. It's hard to put a date on them but these are most likely couture made in the 1990s and probably accompanied a spectacular evening ensemble or bridal outfit. They are embroidered all-over with stunningly executed white glass bugle beads that form the shapes of flowers, leaves and vines. These climb along the arm from the back of the hand. At the elbow, the net is layered, giving the appearance of a ruffled cuff. One layer is adorned with floral beadwork and leaves in the shape of hearts, the other layer is finished with beaded polka-dots. At the elbow, the hem of the gloves is trimmed with beads.

It it both wonderful and rare to find such well made beaded gloves with this level of embellishment in very good to excellent vintage condition; only very light wear noted and no issues. The actor Golda Rosheuvel is seen wearing these in the April 2022 edition of Tatler magazine directly from our archive. They will fit most hand sizes save for very large.
