1991 Documented Yves Saint Laurent Gold Metallic Lame Top

Epitomising the glamour associated with Saint Laurent to this day, this shimmering gold lame top is a classic addition to any party wardrobe. This documented runway piece is from the Fall 1991 show, designed by Yves himself, where model after model walked the runway in head-to-toe gold lamé. This collection has become increasingly collectable after Miley Cyrus wore the hooded cut-out gown in the 2023 video for her Grammy award-winning song "Flowers". With long sleeves, loose, flowing tailoring and a wide neckline, it hangs gracefully from the body, swaying to catch the light. The label reads “Saint Laurent Rive Gauche”, a reference to Paris’s younger and trendier left bank. This top is in excellent vintage condition - no issues noted. With the sizing label cut out, we estimate a best fit for up to a UK 10-12 or US 6-8. Our model (5ft 4 in / 163 cm) is a UK 6-8 and this was very roomy on her.
