2000s Jenny Packham Navy White Sequin and Beaded Column Dress
Description
This sequin-smothered gown was created by renowned British designer and occasion-wear specialist Jenny Packham in the late 1990s to very early 2000s. The silhouette is hugely flattering and cut to skim the curves and fall in a column style to the floor. It has pretty cap-sleeves and a V-neckline, with a deeper-V at the back sensuously exposing more skin. Tailored from navy silk, it is smothered in row-upon-row of tonal navy sequins, broken up by rows of pearlescent white beads including the neckline. The sequins give off a subtle, lighter blue shimmer. The dress is fully lined in navy silk and has no fastenings; it pulls on over the head.
From the mainline collection and very well made, the dress is in very good vintage condition with very minimal losses to the elaborate sequin-work. It has also been lifted at the shoulders at the back; all the original fabric and embellishment remains under the new seam. It's been done so well we've decided to keep this in place as you'd need to be very tall indeed to let it back out to the original position. A longer length so it would suit taller women and the dress is labelled a size UK 14. Its on the smaller side of this size and may be better suited for a UK 12 or US 8-10. It is made from 100% Silk.
