2005 Valentino Runway Documented Beige Skirt with Orange Beadwork
Description
This skirt was part of the opening look of Valentino’s Spring 2005 show (Look 1/75). Tailored from beige cotton, it is cut to an almost full circle shape that sits high on the waist and falls to around knee length. The waistband is crafted from tonal silk and there are hidden in-seam pockets at the hips. The rows of sequins and beads across the bottom of the skirt are beautifully rendered, as is the Valentino way, in tonal beige and burnt orange, broken only by panels of sheer mesh. The skirt is unlined. It fastens at the left hip with a tonal zip and hook-and-eye.
This skirt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues. It has no composition or size labels so please check our measurements below carefully. The fabric has no stretch. We estimate the skirt is suitable for up to a UK 10 or US 6 with plenty of give in the hip.
