2006 Runway Documented Roberto Cavalli Silk and Velvet Tunic

Made in Italy, this flamboyant Roberto Cavalli tunic top walked the runway as part of the Fall 2006 collection, Look 8 of 53. In typical Cavalli style, this long top is both romantic and sensuous with sheer, peekaboo finishes, lace-up detailing and pretty bell-sleeves. Cut from sheer forest green silk, it is detailed all-over with moody dark velvet and gold glitter outlines, giving it the appearance of devoré cloth. The ethereal blouson sleeves are generously cut, with long velvet cuffs which fasten with five gold-tone stud buttons. The front of the blouse showcases a lace-up detail where dark green grosgrain ribbon is threaded through a velvet panel - heavily embroidered around the eyelets. At the bottom of the ribbon, hang four long black tassels. The bottom of this floaty top is anchored by a wide band of green velvet. There is a wide boat-neckline which adds a laid-back elegance. It fastens under the left arm with a hidden tonal zip which is adorned with a gold zip pull debossed with the brand name.

Presented in excellent vintage condition, this top has no flaws of any note and looks barely worn. The sheer panels are made from 100% Silk with contrasting panels of 18% Silk, 82% Viscose. The label states an Italian 40, UK 8, or US 4 but please check our measurements below as there is some leeway in the bust. The fabric has no stretch.
