2008 Alexander McQueen Navy Single Breasted Jacket
Description
This elegant Alexander McQueen jacket is from the late designer's 2008 collection and was designed by his hand. Note the subtle hint of gothicism and the cerebral draping of the deep navy wool. The jacket features the ingenious tailoring that the designer was known for; a panelled construction creates a feminine silhouette with curved seams over the hips creating a slight peplum waist. The sleeves are cut very slim with a graceful, lightly flared cuff that sits over the hand - a signature of the designer during this period. The jacket fastens at the front with hidden mother-of-pearl buttons and two fabric-covered buttons that can be seen if the jacket is worn half buttoned-up. It can also be buttoned up to the neck, creating a more stiff, formal look with a raised neckline. The jacket is fully lined with black satin. There is a silver-tone metal hanging chain inside the collar adorned with a plaque that is engraved with the brand logo.
This jacket is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws. Made in Italy, it is labelled a size 40, UK 8 or US 4. The outer cloth is 100% Wool and the lining is 100% Cupro. The fabric has no stretch.
