2011 Oscar De La Renta Runway Sheer Mocha All-Over Beaded Maxi-Dress

In the review for Oscar De La Renta’s Fall 2011 collection, Vogue picked up on the designer’s spellbinding exuberance. Appearing on the Fall 2011 runway, this incredibly detailed maxi-length gown is tailored from sheer mauve silk, which flows to a floor-sweeping length. The designer’s signature elaborate embellishments adorn the length of the dress; pewter metallic bugle beads are lined up horizontally, forming lines which weave around the body, following and echoing its curves - highlighting Oscar De La Renta’s ability to flatter the feminine silhouette. The dress is fitted to the body, hugging the bust, waist and hips and giving way to a straight skirt to the ankle. The gown is lined from the bust down with a layer of grey and a layer of peach silk-chiffon, which forms a sweetheart neckline at the bust. The back of the dress has a keyhole cut-out, which fastens with a glass button at the back of the neck. The dress also fastens at the lower back with a hidden tonal zip.
