1940s Cordé Black Cord Fabric Top Handle Bag
Description
The Annette Handbag Company originated the cordé bag trend, introducing the style in 1931 and patenting the "Genuine CORDÉ" label in 1939. Made in England, this timeless top handle bag is detailed all over with black cord that formed subtle patterns across its faces. It is cut to a trapeze shape. It closes with a gold-tone metal clasp at the top, and the claps is further detailed with black cord. The top handle is crafted from black cordé fabric. The bag is spacious inside, where it is lined with a tonal black satin and features two slip pockets - one containing a black satin pouch - and a zip pocket. The bag is in excellent vintage condition with a tiny patch of wear on one external corner.
