1930s White Floral Tulle and Lace Chiffon Midi Dress with Jacket

This 1930s wedding dress and matching jacket is tailored from delicate cobweb rayon tulle and has a sleeveless silhouette with a curved neckline. The body of the dress is crafted from floral patterned lace broken up with panels of sheer tulle which form curved Art Deco-esque shapes across the skirt and around the neckline. The skirt has a kick flare for ease of movement. The dress is lined with a delicate tonal off-white silk slip and has no fastenings - so pulls on over the head. It has a small lace belt that attaches through belt loops.

There is a coordinating short bolero jacket which has long, slim cut sleeves with flared, angel cuffs. The jacket is trimmed in white tulle and detailed with a small fabric flower at the chest.

Both pieces are in excellent antique condition, there are no noticable issues and the ensemble is clean and ready to wear. Unlabelled but very well manufactured; most likely made for a good department store of the day. The fabric has no stretch and with this pulling on over the head, the ensemble is only suitable for sizes up to a UK 8 or US 4 with a smaller bust.
