Description

This is an original 1940s 3-piece parure set of earrings, brooch and bracelet. Designed by Coro, a company founded in New York in 1901 by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger; the US firm was one of the world's best known high-end costume jewelry manufacturers based in Providence, Rhode Island until the late 1970s.

Each piece of the jewellery set features an incredibly detailed, 3D effect yellow gold-toned metal flower adorned with deep ruby or garnet-like stones and rhinestones. The brooch has a C-clasp on the back whilst the earrings have screw-backs. The bracelet centrepiece is sat on two box link chains, attached with elaborate clasps. It fastens with a box clasp that is engraved on the rear with “Coro” together with the back of the centrepiece. The brooch and earrings are not signed.

All pieces are in excellent vintage condition, with the tiniest bit of wear to the reverse - not visible when worn. We have attached a few examples of advertisements for very similar Coro jewellery from the period - circa 1947.
