This 1960s cocktail dress is intricately adorned with pale-aqua ruched manmade chiffon stitched in a scalloped pattern across the entire body, the resulting effect is soft and cloud-like; the only distraction the occasional ivory or blue pearl which trims the chiffon. Heavy beading and embroidery feature across the bust and continue onto the wide straps. Here, ombré vines made from dark grey-blue beads and pale blue stitching encircle light blue iridescent beads and pearls - decadent detailing that makes this gown a stand-out piece for any occasion. The chiffon is sewn onto the integral viscose blend lining to prevent the dress from being sheer. A parted Watteau train falls from the rear of the gown and is finished with coordinating beadwork. A hidden zip and five hook-and-eye clasps close the back.

Unlabelled but a very well made, quality piece in superb vintage condition with no issues. The photos show this dress lighter than it actually is on account of the studio flash. It's a more saturated turquoise hue but has the sheer qualities of the chiffon which have caught the light. Suggested best fit for a UK 8-10 or US 4-6.
