1970s True Vintage Indian Paisley Cotton Muslin Dress

This true vintage Indian cotton dress was made in the late 1970s to early 1980s and is absolutely from the period and not a reproduction piece. Tailored from pure cotton muslin, it is dyed a rich lilac hue and detailed with paisley patterns in a bright violet-pink and dark blue. It is detailed with stripes of metallic silver thread. The sleeves are cut to a voluminous bell-style and have gathered cuffs. The body has an empire silhouette and an open tunic neckline. The front of the collar is adorned with a small bow made from lilac braid and finished with two brass beads. The yoke is detailed with metallic braid and panels of plain lilac muslin. In truly excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. It is labelled 100% Cotton. It is a size Medium but please check the measurements below carefully as the fabric has no stretch. We believe this would best fit up to a UK size 12 or US 8 and sizes smaller.
