1990s Escada Couture Red Silk Taffeta and Metallic Lace Gown
Description
In the 1990s, Escada’s couture and eveningwear collections reflected opulent sophistication. The brand became known for its use of jewel tones, sumptuous fabrics and intricate beading, creating red-carpet-worthy looks that defined the era’s vision of luxury and feminine confidence. This classical gown is tailored from moiré taffeta in an attention-grabbing fuchsia-red hue. The bust is sculpted, lined with red taffeta and boned the whole way around the torso. There are pads in the bust to add shape and support. The corset top is overlayed with metallic silver lace. Sheer and shimmering like dew-scattered cobwebs, it allows the red taffeta to peek through. The skirt is full; lined with a removable, double-layered red tulle maxi-skirt that adds volume to the final silhouette of the dress. The dress fastens at the back with a hidden tonal red zip.
Presented in excellent vintage condition with no issues. It is made from 67% Acetate, 33% Silk with detailing in 73% Polyester, 27% Nylon. Labelled an EU size 40 we have provided measurements below.
