1991 Yves Saint Laurent Tudor Rose Print Blouse with Gold Buttons
Description
Made in France, this shirt was designed by Yves Saint Laurent in 1991 for his department store diffusion line Variation. Tailored from a vibrant high quality manmade crepe in French blue, it is detailed with a repeat pattern of Tudor roses in burnt orange and pistachio hues. Cut to the relaxed style that was popular in the early 1990s, it has a wide-cut body and voluminous sleeves. The turn-up cuffs close with an elaborate gold-tone metal button which looks like a swirl of rope. Five of the same buttons close the front. At the neck there is a wide pussy-bow collar cut from coordinating fabric. The shirt is unlined, aside from the shoulder pads.
In excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. The fabric is 100% Polyester. It is labelled a French size 38, UK 10, but vintage sizes run small so please check our measurements below. Our model's sizes are: Bust: 31" (80cm), Waist 25" (64cm), Hips: 34" (87cm) and 5' 4" (164cm) and she's a size UK 6, US 2. There was room to spare.
