2001 Dolce and Gabbana Runway Documented Red and White Moto Jacket
Description
This well documented jacket walked the runway as part of Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2001 collection (look 14/63). A true piece of trophy vintage, the moto jackets from this collection have been photographed on many celebrities including Usher, Victoria Beckham, Justin Timberlake, Camille Charriere, Nicola Peltz and Madonna. We believe that this is the jacket from the men’s collection as it does not feature the leopard lining of the women’s jackets, and it is not cropped but cut to more of a straight silhouette. It is composed of panels of buttery soft leather in four clashing colours: black, white, red and yellow. It has padded shoulders and a high neckline which closes to the right hand side with two snap closures. The front is detailed with three zip pockets with chunky silver-toned hardware and logo-engraved zips. The waistband is secured with a snap closure and the cuffs are finished with zips and straps with snap closures - all logo-engraved. The jacket is lined with black satin woven with the brand name.
The jacket is in excellent archival vintage condition with no issues of any note and is very fresh looking. Labelled 100% Leather and a men's' size Italian 44, UK 34 or XS, but please check our measurements below. The girls have all tried this on at Circa and we are between a UK 6-8, US 2-4 and UK 14-16 or US 10-12. It's best suited to someone in height over 5'7" as the arms are long and it started getting difficult to do up over a UK 10 or US 6. That said, bigger sizes can wear it open.
