Description

This dress was designed by Matthew Williamson for Pucci’s Spring 2007 collection and a near identical version walked the runway for the show opening. We assume small adaptions were made for this commercial version sold in the boutiques.

The dress is a classic psychedelic Pucci print created from a linen-cotton mix; the fabric printed with a swirling pattern in white, grey and black and dotted with the brand’s iconic “Emilio” signature. Cut to an A-line mini-dress style which recalls the silhouettes of the 1960s and the colour palette is very 'space age'. At the yoke neckline, a silver metallic floral jacquard fastens behind the neck with three mirrored buttons. It frames a keyhole cut-out over the decolletage which is lined with black net. There is a small keyhole cut-out at the back of the neck below the buttons. The dress is lined with white satin.

Condition is very good - we noted at the neckline a faint reddish mark at the front - we have spot cleaned this and it has improved considerably but is barely noticeable, if at all, when on. Labelled 65% Linen, 35% Cotton. The jacquard is 55% Acetate, 31% Silk, 14% Polyester and the lining 55% Acetate, 45% Rayon. It will fit sizes UK 8-10 or US 4-6 and smaller if you want to wear a polo-neck underneath.
