2009 Runway Documented Saint Laurent Silver Leather Cage Boots
Description
The Cage Boots walked the Saint Laurent runway for the fashion house's Spring 2009 runway. Designed when Stefano Pilati was the creative director, these designs were instantly iconic and featured in numerous editorial shoots across the fashion world. Crafted from supple leather with a high-shine silver finish, the cage-like formation offers glimpses of skin and the open-toe cut is perfect for showing off your pedicure. The towering 4.5 inch heel makes them a glamorous accompaniment to both trouser-suits and dresses and is crafted from silver-tone metal with a plastic top piece. The interior is lined with mirror-shine silver leather detailed with the “YSL” logo. The sole is debossed with the size, material and “Yves Saint Laurent”.
These shoes are unworn and in flawless condition. They have been in our collection since they were purchased new and were never worn by Circa's owner who decided it would be a crime to wear them :-) We consider the design to be one of the most significant footwear designs of the 21st century and they are already a very rare item to find unworn. The sole of the shoe is stamped with "cuir veritable" which translates as "real leather". The size on the sole is an Italian size 38, which is a UK size 5 or US 7 and these are slightly generous in our opinion by around a half size.
