2019 Runway Rami Kadi Haute Couture Red Silk and Crystal Bodice Dress

This spotlight-stealing couture gown was designed by Lebanese designer Rami Kadi for his Spring 2019 collection which was his first couture runway presentation in Paris and was Look 12. Rami Kadi started his couture house, Maison Rami Kadi, in 2011 and today it has become a red carpet go-to for countless celebrities including Frieda Pinto, Kendall Jenner, Elizabeth Chambers, Suki Waterhouse and Katy Perry. Made in Kadi’s home country of Lebanon, this stunning dress is tailored from red silk, cascading down and twisting around the body from the right shoulder to the floor. In a signature move, the red silk is manipulated to reveal the full length of the leg and it wraps around a bustier top to create a one-shoulder fit. The designer’s obsession with high-octane glamour and his immaculate eye for detail is demonstrated in the construction of this bustier. It is boned all the way around the torso and forms a sweetheart neckline. It is hand-beaded all over with long mirrored beads and dotted with minute circular beads in yellow, green, blue and red.

This attention-grabbing dress is in very good to excellent condition with no flaws or marks - it looks to have been worn once or twice only. Like many couture pieces, it does not have a composition or size label so please check our measurements closely. The red silk has some stretch to it however the bustier does not allow for much flexibility from the measurements below. We have assumed this is a model fit at a UK 8 or US 4.
