Vintage 1970s Rainbow Sequin Peplum Jacket Bolan

Stunning vintage rainbow sequinned 1970s glam rock jacket. Zig zags of sparkly sequins and lurex thread all over, cut with striking peplum shape, puff sleeve shoulder and cute button hoop fastenings up the front.

I have studied the fabric next to a Biba labelled jacket, and it is identical. This piece is unlabelled; it could have lost it's label, and be Biba, or a different brand using the same fabric (many of the upmarket boutiques had access to the same rolls of fabric). The structural cut suggests to me this is a Biba / Alkasura piece. Whoever the maker, it looks good enough for Bolan!
