Vintage Jean-Paul Gaultier Femme Trouser Suit, UK10

A superb vintage tailored trouser suit by Jean-Paul Gaultier Femme, thought to be late 1980s, in beautiful lightweight suiting fabric with delicate grey green stripe.  It is hard to do justice in the photos to just how good this suit looks in real life - the overhead photo of the jacket laid flat is the most accurate representation of this two tone grey/green fabric.

The jacket is longish with 3 mother of pearl buttons,  front slit pockets, and 4 button sleeves. The lapels are notched on one side with a cut out section with knot feature on the other. Unlined.

The trousers have no waistband and  a side zip.  They are loosely fitted to the knee,  flaring out to hem; could easily be adjusted for more contemporary look.

There is a loop detail at the back of the jacket and trousers.
