Y2K Longchamp Purple Embellished Carpet Bag

This Y2K limited edition bag is by luxury French leather goods company, Longchamp. It recalls the brand’s classic Boston bag with its boxy shape and wrap-around straps. The black outer fabric offers a contemporary take on a carpet bag; thick and textured, it is woven with florals in bright pink, violet and aqua hues with metallic gold embroidery. The two handle straps are crafted from tonal leather with violet stitching. These wrap around the body of the bag and are detailed with gold-toned metal plaques detailed with glass gemstones in aqua, pink and purple. The outside of the bag is christened with a leather plaque embossed with the brand name.

There is a central flap which is crafted from black leather and plum-hued faux sheepskin. It features a gold-toned metal buckle engraved with the brand name down the side and closes with a magnet clasp. On each end of the bag sits two flap pockets. These close with a purple leather strap and gold buckle.

There is a gold zip closure along the top of the bag with the brand’s iconic racing horse logo. Inside, it is lined in purple with the brand name and logo; there is a zip pocket and two slip pockets.

This bag is in truly excellent vintage condition and doesn't look worn. Comes complete with original dust bag and all authenticity cards.
